What happens when she is not there!

I trust most of you already read Asraf’s post some time ago, this is my own take on the matter.

Your bed IS your closet.

Laundry & dishes stay on an aviating-pile-up mode for weeks.

You wear wrinkled shirts because God forbid you attempt to iron.

Naturally, dust is everywhere!

You run out of bread, drinking water, and tissues, and you do nothing about it.

The house gets smelly! Because you never remember to open the windows.

You burn your fingers every 3-4 days; oven-handle-management is too much for you!

May we not go into (taking out the garbage) please!

And the list goes oooooooooon and on 😀

But, you know something……… what really happens to YOU is:

You deliberately start initiating conversations with her.

Her seat is your friend.

 You start talking to walls.

 Old SMS`s are your comfort.

You hang her clothes next to yours.

Drawings are all what you caught your self doing.

You buy her things; exquisite things, silly things, mushy things ,,, just things that remind you of her.

 You wear her slippers.

 Her photos are your salvation.

You write down her favourite song and hide it some where.

And you post about it all not caring how goofy it seems 🙂

I miss you so much honey, 11 days just seem way tOo long to bear 😦

  1. Oh, how wonderful!

It is nice to read that someone does about his wife’s absence some of the things I do about the hub’s. Actually the first 2 days are fun in a kind of “the roommate went home for the weekend” way: eat what I want, when I want, play MY music when I want, the same song 50 times if I want, etc. Then I start really missing him, and by the end of the week I am wearing one of his t-shirts, and drinking tea out his coffee mug.

When I am away, after a week he phones me to come home no matter what (doesn’t happen), and I phone people to go and keep him company whether he says he wants to or not, and then he buys things, like carpeting, once a house (one we had looked at, and subject to my agreement)–jeesh, a book, special teas, or jewelry would have been nice. The day before I arrive he cleans up and waters the plants he was supposed to be watering daily. 😀

Thanks for a smile and a laugh!

  2. Salaam…

    Really funny …

I hope you cleaned the house before she’s coming…
If you don’t… I can’t imagine her trying to clean ( 2 week from what you did ) in one day or may be week…

A man before married is normally can deal with every thing, but when he got married, it is difficult for him to deal with the house again…

    Thank you brother 🙂
